ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES IN GEORGIA NEED ATTENTION - MP

In allocating money from Armenia's state budget, as well as from
various funds, the Armenian community in Georgia, 75 villages with
a population reaching 500,000, should be considered.

At his meeting with journalists Nov. 25 the MP Hayk Sanosyan said that
the Armenian community in Georgia needs attention on the motherland's
    part.

Abkhazia has a 40,000-strong Armenian community as well. It needs
attention - at least in educational and cultural respects. The
community should be involved in the projects implemented by Armenia's
    Ministry of Diaspora.

"I think that the All-Armenian Fund should perform more functions and
provide at least small amounts to the communities in question as well,"
    Sanosyan said.
