ARMENIAN CB TO OPEN TRAINING & RESEARCH CENTER IN DILIJAN

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to
Dilijan, visisted the construction site of the Dilijan training and
research center of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).
The center is expected to function as a modern technology institute
for holding regional and international conferences on economics and
finance. With this end in view, Armenia is negotiating with a number
of international financial agencies and training centers of Central
Banks experienced in this field.
The center will house offices of commercial banks, ARCA processing
center, ACRA Credit Bureau offices and compulsory motor insurance
offices. The center is to open in January 2013.
A residential building for the center staff is under construction
as well.
CBA Chairman Artur Javadyan said that the center will run both banking
and general financing training courses. A number of agreements
have been reached with international financial institutions - the
International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, EBRD, and others. The
best international experts will conduct about 30 international seminars
yearly and impart their experience to Armenian specialists.
