EU SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE TO VISIT YEREVAN TO DISCUSS NAGORNO KARABAKH ISSUE

Yerevan/Mediamax /. EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus
and the crisis in Georgia, Ambassador Philippe Lefort, will visit
Yerevan on November 28th.
As Mediamax was told in the EU Delegation to Armenia, the main goal
of the visit is to discuss the situation concerning Nagorno-Karabakh.
Philippe Lefort will also meet the Armenian President, Foreign and
Defense Ministers and the Secretary of the National Security Council.
This will be the second visit of Philippe Lefort to Armenia following
his appointment to the post EU Special Representative. He visited
Armenia for the first time in early September.
Philippe Lefort is a French diplomat of more than 20 years'
experience. He has devoted large parts of his career to the Caucasus
and Russia, among other things as French Ambassador in Georgia
(2004-2007) and as Deputy Head of Mission at the French Embassy in
Russia (2007-2010).
Since 2010, he has been the Head of Continental Europe General
Directorate at the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
