Armenian Side Confirmed IRAO UES Leaves

The RA Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced that Inter
RAO UES has performed its contract duties regarding the Armenian
Nuclear Power Plant and further implementation of its duties is of
titular character.
The ministry notes that the end of the contract, 2013, will not affect
the company's activities because during the contract period the
company was actually managed by the ministry. The ministry will
continue the management of the company after the end of the contract.
The ministry notes that in 2003 the Armenian Nuclear Plant owed 40
million dollars to Russian companies for fuel. Long negotiations
resulted in a debt repayment plan and as a guarantee of its
implementation the Russian side took up the financial management of
the NPP. The company repaid the debt to TVEL Concern to be reimbursed
by the NPP. The NPP repaid the debt duly, the ministry's press release
informed.
