YEREVAN.- Leadership of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh repeatedly voiced
their aspiration for strengthening peace and cooperation with all
the neighboring states, said Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
The evidence of this policy is an attempt to normalize relations with
Turkey without any preconditions, he said addressing the participants
of inter-religious CIS Council Presidium Session held in Yerevan.
However, all the attempts failed due to Turkey's denial policy,
he added.
He stressed that trilateral meeting with Patriarch of Moscow and All
Rus Kirill I and spiritual leader of Caucasus Muslims, Allahshukur
Pashazade will be held within the Council session to develop effective
dialogue and further resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
"There is no alternative to peace, conflict should be settled through
peace talks based on human rights and international law," he said.
According to His Holiness Karekin II, spiritual leaders should
cooperate to seek for solution to the conflicts.
