KIRIL I SAYS ALL CONFLICTS MAY BE SOLVED THANKS TO RELIGIOUS FACTOR

Today's world needs peace and not splitting, President Serzh Sargsyan
said today at the sitting of the CIS Inter-Religious Council,
considering it remarkable that the sitting is being conducted at
the foot of Biblical Mountain Ararat, the symbol of Armenia and
Armenian people.
According to him, on the way to the establishment of peace it
is necessary not to ignore but reinforce and encourage spiritual
roots of people. "The Armenian people have made their historic and
irreversible decision - develop through the cooperation with its
neighbors, friends and people," the president said.
Referring to the permanently discussed and propagated "tolerance",
the leader of the country said that tolerate means to come into
terms with the existence of not pleasant thing. "We must first of all
highlight mutual contacts and not isolation. We must rate high mutual
understanding and not suspicions toward foreigners. We must pass the
other side of the tolerance, toward a highest level symbolizing deep
respect," President Sargsyan said. He pointed out that the summit
comes to prove that the only right way of the solution of the world's
issues is the consolidation of forces, reinforcement of reconciliation
of people, irrespective of national and religious belongings.
Patriarch of All Russia Kiril I rated high the greatest assistant
of the Armenian authorities to the Apostolic Church. According to
Patriarch, the CIS Inter-Religious Council, really has an opportunity
to work out new forms of cooperation, directed toward establishment
of peace. "All the conflicts may be regulated thanks to the religious
factor," Kiril I said.
