"I've worked on my piece of music - "Requiem", dedicated to the victims
of Armenian Genocide, for 10 years. This piece of text has been sung
many times, and I found my own key to it - I've joined Latin language
and native Armenian singing.
I've displayed the universal pain of Armenian people, as well as
that of my own family," Armenian composer Tigran Mansuryan said in
a news conference.
On November 19 Chamber Philharmonic Hall of Berlin hosted the world
premiere of "Requiem" by Tigran Mansuryan dedicated to the victims
of Armenian Genocide.
German media outlets say the "Requiem" has been cordially accepted
under warm applauds. Armenian Ambassador to Germany, accompanied by
his wife, was also present at the premiere, which, the composer says,
has delighted hi greatly.
