BRANDY, WINE PRODUCTION INCREASE IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - 7467,6 thousand liters of brandy was produced in
Armenia in January-August 2011, which is 9,8% more compared to the
same period in 2010 (6801 thousand liters).
According to the National Statistical Service, 4243,1 thousand liters
of vodka was produced in the same period, which is 28,2% less than in
January-August in 2010. 3682,2 thousand liters of wine was produced
in January-August 2011 against 3346,3 thousand liters in 2010 (10%
growth).
During the reporting period, beer production totaled 11203,3
thousand liters, which is 3,2% less than in January-August 2010
(11572, 5 thousand liters). Production of champagne grew by 2,3%,
totaling 149,6 thousand liters.
In 2011, production of soft drinks in Armenia grew by 5,6% totaling
24228,7 thousand liters.
