CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES RULE THE DEATH TOLL IN ARMENIA

Heart diseases or cardiovascular diseases kill at least 17.3 million
people annually. Most countries, Armenia also face high and increasing
rates of cardiovascular disease.
The Ministry of Healthcare informs that heart diseases are ranked
first in the death toll of 2010, as 50% /49.03/ of deaths was cause by
cardiovascular diseases. Experts say obesity, smoking, poor physical
activities and some other elements cause the development of those
diseases.
According to survey results to prevent the development of
cardiovascular diseases public awareness campaign should be held.
Armenian Ministry of Healthcare develops a range of policies and
projects to inform people and to prevent the development of heart
diseases.
