ARMENIAN STUDENTS AND LECTURERS TO VISIT HISTORICAL ARMENIA

YEREVAN. - Students' Parliament of Yerevan State Medical University
(YSMU) will carry out, from October 1 to 3, the "Ani 1050: Journey
to Historical Homeland" project.
A group from the University's students and faculty will head to
historical Armenia, Youth Foundation of Armenia informed Armenian
News-NEWS.am. The project is devoted to 1,050th anniversary of
the foundation of historical Armenia's ancient capital Ani, 20th
anniversary of Armenia's independence, and 20th anniversary of YSMU
Students' Parliament.
On the first day of their journey, the participants will visit historic
Armenia's 10th capital, Kars; then they will head to Bayazet.
On their second day, the students and their lecturers will visit Van
and then head to Sarikamis. And on the third day of their journey,
the participants are expected to visit Ani, historic Armenia's 11th
capital.
Throughout their trip, the group members will be given information
pamphlets on all mentioned sites. The project aims to further raise
Armenian youth's national awareness, nationalism and patriotism,
and to keep alive the sacred longing for historical heritage.
