INJURED SURVIVORS OF LANDSLIDE YEREVAN RESIDENTS

The hospitalized survivors of yesterday's landslide on
Vanadzor-Bagratashen highway are said to be residents of Yerevan.
According to the Ministry of Health, seven people were taken to the
medical center of Alaverdi town, after the landslide hit the 86th km
of the interstate highway (near Ayrum station, Tavush marz), leaving
35 cars under rocks and mud. The survivors were hospitalized with
skull damages, and fractures of the chest bone (without damage to
internal organs), forearm and other parts of the body.
After receiving medical assistance at the center, they were moved
to Yerevan. Only one person, who had a closed fracture of the right
calf's hoof and a fragmentary fracture of the heel bone, was taken to
the medical center of Noyemberyan town. After plaster immobilization
and anesthetic intervention, the patient was discharged.
