OPPOSITIONIST SUSPECTS AUTHORITIES OF SENDING PROVOCATEURS TO LIBERTY SQUARE

An opposition activist has blamed the ruling authorities of sending
people to make provocations on Liberty Square where opposition
activists have set up tents for three days now as part of the one-week
round-the-clock rallies.
"Some pro-government circles are sending people to our rallies. Do
not be surprised!" Nikol Pashinyan, Chief Editor of the local Armenian
daily Haykakan Zhamanak, told activists on Liberty Square on Monday.
"People are coming who do not recognize us, are not sober, and are
saying that they want to participate in our rallies," he added.
Further, he said that the opposition activists have notices that some
people - apparently not authorized to do so - are instructing activists
to enter the tents and put what he called "some things" there.
"There are assumptions that they are police officers, though we do
not want to believe in that, and that has not been confirmed yet,
but we are not losing our cautiousness," said Pashinyan.
"But there are all the grounds that those actions are implemented by
government agencies," said Nikol Pashinyan.
