ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS BOYCOTTS PACE SUBCOMMITTEE ON NAGORNO KARABAKH

Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli - APA. Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe (PACE) Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh held its
meeting on Monday.
Armenian delegation boycotted the meeting, APA's European bureau
reports.
Chairman of the Subcommittee, Spanish MP Jordi Chukla i Costa and
members of the Azerbaijani delegation Samed Seyidov and Sabir Hajiyev
attended the meeting. Seyidov said they decided to inform the PACE
Bureau about absence of the Armenian parliamentarians in the meeting.
"We decided to inform the Bureau about the absence of the Armenian
parliamentarians. I raised the concrete issue. I told them "we and you
also witness that Armenia violates the decision unanimously adopted
by the PACE Bureau and doesn't participate in the meeting. It means
that you use at least double standards when the Bureau raises the
issues concerning the violation of decisions on Azerbaijan. They had
to agree with that because they had no other way. There will be next
meeting of the Subcommittee and if Armenians does not participate
again, it will be their question. With their absence they violate
the PACE Bureau's decision. This is very serious violation".
Armenian parliamentarians boycotted the Subcommittee's meetings during
the spring and summers sessions too.
