The position of the North-Atlantic Alliance towards the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict hasn't been changed, said Romanian Ambassador
to Armenia Crina Prunariu in a news conference having meant that the
organization is hopeful the conflict will be settled based on three
principles - non-use of force, people's right to self-determination
and territorial integrity.
The Ambassador has stressed that NK conflict resolution is important
for the entire region in terms of the regional development. "But NATO
has repeatedly declared that the conflict is out of its competency."
Referring to the Russian FM's statement released in the UN General
Assembly which claimed that Russia is committed to settle peace in
the region if any of the NK conflict parties applies illegal force,
the Romanian Ambassador said: "Don't forget that Armenia is a CSTO
member-state".
