YEREVAN. - Turkey's "Zero Problems with Neighbors" Policy requires
concessions from everyone, and for the benefit of peoples' economic
development and upsurge in societal life, Lebanon's National Assembly
Speaker Nabih Berri stated in his address before Armenian parliament.
The Lebanese official also expressed a hope that Turkey's parliament
would hurry and ratify the protocols that were signed more than two
years ago. "It is in the full interest of our Arab peoples to see
all chapters of disagreement closed and to open the land borders of
Armenia and Turkey," Nabih Berri noted.
He also reflected on the Karabakh issue, commenting that it is time to
reach an agreement as soon as possible, and factoring in the views of
the region's population and by establishing good neighborly relations
among the people. "In the context of good neighborly relations, we
reject any state's unlawful usurpation against another state. At the
same time we reject meddling into the domestic affairs of any state,"
Lebanon's Parliament Speaker maintained.
