INCIDENT CLAIMS SOLDIER'S LIFE IN ARMENIA

On Oct. 3, at 6:00 pm, at the Baghramyan military training center,
the driver lost control of a Sadko truck. As a result, the truck left
the roadway.
Mary Sargsyan, liaison officer, Investigation Department, Ministry of
Defense of Armenia, Mary Sargsyan informed Tert.am that six soldiers
were taken to hospital, where soldier Hayk Davtyan died.
Senior Lieutenant Hamlet Virabyan has been detained. A preliminary
investigation in under way.
Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan convened an extraordinary
meeting. The commanders responsible for the incident were present.
According to reliable information, the commander of the regiment,
as well as his assistants, will be dismissed one of these days.
During his recent visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh defense army, Minister
Seyran Ohanyan said that non-battle losses are unpardonable.
