There are serious changes in the attitude of Turkish Prime Minister,
leader of Justice and Development Party Recep Tayyip Erdogan toward
the Azerbaijani opposition. Erdogan has decided to be also beside
the Azerbaijani opposition hereafter.
As Armenpress reports, according to the source provided information
to the Azerbaijani "Poligon" news agency, Erdogan's attitude toward
the opposition is conditioned by the processes running in the region,
especially by the position of Washington toward Azerbaijan.
"Turkey has never conducted an independent foreign policy. Its latest
vivid proof is Syria, when at first Erdogan promised brotherly
relations to Bashar Assad, and then by the demand of Washington,
started prosecuting him. The same is happening toward Azerbaijan.
Today Ankara's profits coincide with that of Washington in many
issues. That is why it is possible that awakening will be felt in
the nearest future in the Azerbaijani opposition," the source of the
agency reads, stressing that the moral and material support expected
from Turkey and especially Erdogan administration, may change a
lot of things in Azerbaijan, as the calls addressed to Baku by the
White House, may have much weaker influence than a small statement
by Erdogan.
