ARMENIA TO HOST 66TH SESSION OF CIS BORDER TROOP COUNCIL

Armenian resort town of Tsakhkadzor will host the 66th session of
the Council of Commanders of Border Troops of the member states of
the Commonwealth of Independent States.
According to a press release by the National Security Service,
the session will be attended by the heads of Border Troops of ten
countries - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia,
Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
The session will discuss issues related to cooperation, management of
crisis situations on the border, illegal migration, drug trafficking
and smuggling.
The session will also sum up the preliminary results of the joint
events implemented in 2011 and will prepare the working plan for 2012.
The Council of Commanders of Border Troops of CIS was launched on
July 6 in 1992.
