NATO'S SACEUR HAILS THE ARMENIAN PEACEKEEPERS' BATTLE TRAINING

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and
NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Admiral James Stavridis
discussed the course and prospects of Armenia-NATO and Armenia-U.S.
military cooperation during their meeting in Brussels.
Admiral Stavridis hailed the participation of the Armenian units in
NATO operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo as well as the Armenian
peacekeepers' battle training and professional skills, Mediamax was
informed in the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry.
Seyran Ohanyan also met with NATO Secretary General's Special
Representative for the Southern Caucasus James Appathurai. The parties
discussed issues related to the Armenia's Individual Partnership Action
Plan with NATO as well as defense reforms being implemented in Armenia.
The Armenian Defense Minister stressed the importance of NATO's
balanced policy in the region, in the delicate process of conflict
settlements in particular.
The Armenian Foreign Minister took part in the meeting with defense
ministers of ISAF operation member-countries on October 6.
