PALESTINIAN POLITICIAN: PEOPLE CANNOT BE FREE IF THEY LACK SOVEREIGNTY IN THEIR OWN LANDS

Quis Abdul-Karim, member of the Central Board of the Palestinian
Liberation Organization, representative of the Palestinian Legislative
Council told ArmInfo correspondent that all nations have the right
to self-determination within the frames of the illegally recognized
national borders.
When speaking of the Nagorno-Karabakh people's efforts in the fight
for consolidation of independence, he said that no specific verdicts
can be delivered here, as it depends on the conflicting parties,
as well as on the judges and other institutions, which interpret
the international laws. But in general, Quis Abdul-Karim comes
out for self-determination and advocates peace and implementation
of principles of the international law for settlement of all the
regional conflicts. He added that people cannot be free if they lack
sovereignty -n their lands. Therefore, these two issues cannot be
considered separately, he said.
