The news spread by the ANC as if the police impede the entrance of
cars coming from provinces to Armenia does not correspond to reality.
Speaking to Armenpress, chief of the RA police Alik Sargsyan said
that the police services have just intensified their work to control
the situation.
"No instruction is given to ban the entrance of cars from provinces
to Yerevan. There is no such fact", Sargsyan said.
According to him, the rally of the opposition, ensuring people with
food and raising interest through other means will not give anything.
"The steps of the police during the rallies were and will be within
the framework of law. There is no intention to turn out the 24-hour
long rallies. The police will act in a way to ensure the public order.
There are other people who want to make use of the Liberty Square
but the all day long rallies of the opposition impede it", Alik
Sargsyan stressed.
