NEWLY RECONSTRUCTED STATE COLLEGE OPENS IN ARTASHAT

Newly reconstructed state college opened today in Artashat with the
participation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan before the launch
of the outgoing cabinet sitting. Six specialities are taught here -
pharmaceutics, dental mechanics, cosmetology, accountancy, organization
of transportation and management, software.
The head of the government, accompanied by the minister of education
and science toured in the educational establishment, familiarized
himself with the conditions.
The minister of education noted that within the framework of
cooperation between the RA government and the EU during the recent
years 12 specialized secondary educational establishments opened in
Armenia. The goal is to improve the quality of specialized secondary
education. The EU has allocated 30 million euros for the implementation
of the program. "We hope such colleges will become centers of regional
development, promoting supply of personnel to different spheres",
head of the EU delegation to Armenia Raul de Luzenberger said.
