STATE LUNCHEON - IN HONOR OF FRENCH PRESIDENT

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS: At the invitation of President Serzh
Sargsyan French President Nicolas Sarkozy has arrived today in Armenia
on a state visit.
Presidential press service told Armenpress that the official ceremony
of welcoming was held today at "Zvartnots" international airport,
after which the Armenian and French Presidents left for the Mother
See of Holy Etchmiadzin, met with the Catholicos of All-Armenians
and visited the Cathedral.

Sargsyan left for Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, where they paid
a tribute of honor to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Afterward they visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute,
where the French President made a note in the commemoration book
for honorary guests - "France does not forget." The Armenian and
French Presidents also planted a firtree in the Memorial Alley of
Tsitsernakaberd Complex.
On behalf of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan a state luncheon will be
given in the evening in honor of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
