Arman Melikyan, a former foreign minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh
Republi,c mulls over proposing his candidacy in parliamentary and
presidential elections.
At a news conference on Friday, the politician shared his concerns
over the upcoming electoral processes in Armenia.
"I certainly think of running [for election] as a single candidate,
but it is not final decision yet. For me, it is important to realize
in advance to what extent the situation is prone to free and fair
elections, " he said.
Speaking of possible outcomes, Melikyan said the Republican Party
and Prosperous Armenia are more likely to win seats in the next
parliament, though he didn't rule out the possibility of other parties'
representation - Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun
(ARF-D) and Prosperous Armenia.
