Armenian community in Abkhazia elects new head

The Armenian Community of Abkhazia has a new leader, according to the
Russian news agency Regnum.
Khachik Minosayn replaced Suren Kerselyan in the capacity of the head
of the Armenian Community of Abkhazia which has been renamed into
Armenian Union of Abkhazia.
The organization came with the decision at an extraordinary session.
Unlike the previous one the election took place in two stages and in
an open vote. Three candidates were nominated.
Khachik Minosyan was elected unanimously and will hold the position
for five years.
Previously the position lasted three years.
