Minasyan's yellow peril
ARMENIA v MACEDONIA ARMENIA coach Vardan Minasyan told his team not to
be yellow bellies as they walk a suspension tightrope against
Macedonia today.
The Armenians are in the running for qualification for the first time
in their history and know a win today will be vital.
Suspended But they are without suspended midfielder Hrayr Mkoyan.
And Minasyan is concerned he will be forced to field several players
one booking away from missing Tuesday's must-win game against Ireland
at the Aviva Stadium.
Six of the players involved in last month's shock 4-0 win over
Slovakia that put Armenia right back in the hunt are all on yellow
cards. Minasyan ordered his team to be mindful of picking up silly
bookings.
He said: "We must be cautious and avoid making mistakes - Macedonia
will be playing freely as they are out of the qualification.
This is a great opportunity for the team and we must take this opportunity."
