Nicolas Sarkozy: `France opposes Turkey's bid for EU membership'

Baku - APA. French President Nicolas Sarkozy said his country opposed
Turkey's bid for EU membership.
France didn't change its positions towards this issue, Sarkozy said
during the joint press conference with Armenian counterpart Serzh
Sargsyan in Yerevan. `Turkey plays an important role in the world and
reaches significant achievements, but France doesn't see Turkey in the
European Union. My position towards this issue remains unchanged and I
don't see any reason to change it'.
