The Sevan Police Department is investigating a local school principal
suspected of selling bags of flour allocated by the United Nations
World Food Programme.
Marieta Mirzoyan, Principal of the Mesrop Mashtots #1 School in Sevan,
in a conversation with Hetq, has categorically denied the charges.
Mirzoyan claims that the 17 sacks of flour were distributed to school
staff in lieu of wages and that school employees will verify this.
The flour in question, part of the WFO's "School Meals Program"
was intended for consumption by pupils in grades 1 to 4.
