"DAYS OF ARMENIANS UNION OF RUSSIA AND ARMENIAN WORLD CONGRESS IN ARMENIA AND ARTSAKH" PROGRAM LAUNCHES

This year "Days of Armenians Union of Russia and Armenian World
Congress in Armenia and Artsakh" program will be conducted October
10-14. Ara Abrahamyan, chairman of the Armenians Union of Russia and
Armenian World Congress, told today a news conference that in 2011
the entire activity of the Armenians Union of Russia and Armenian
World Congress in Armenia has been dedicated to 20th anniversary of
independence of Armenia. "Independence is an important achievement
for Diaspora. There are many issues which are subject for solution
with joint efforts," Ara Abrahamyan said. A year of youth was also
proclaimed, within the framework of which numerous programs and events
have been implemented.
According to Ara Abrahamyan, the goal of the program is to promote
development and strengthening of Armenia, Armenia-Diaspora,
Diaspora-Diaspora multilateral cooperation, strengthening and
development of ties, as well as to assist in realization of the
creative potential of Armenian young people.
Award-giving ceremonies will be conducted within the framework of the
program, a tree planting will be held, as well as meetings between
Russian and Armenian lawyers will be arranged. "Armenian Film Month"
program is also proceeding. The chairman of the Armenians Union of
Russia especially attached importance to the award-giving ceremony,
which is conducted already for the 5th time. The number of the
participants and the competition fund have been doubled over these
years. "The Best Soldier, the best Officer" award-giving ceremony
is also conducted by the Armenians Union of Russia and Armenian
World Congress.
"Days of Armenians Union of Russia and Armenian World Congress
in Armenia and Artsakh" program is implemented by RA Ministries
of Diaspora, Defense, education and Science, RA National Academy
of Sciences in collaboration with Unions of Writers, Journalists,
Artists, Chores, Composers.
