10% OF SYNOPSYS RESEARCH WORK IN ARMENIA

Established seven years ago, the Synopsys Armenia CJSC is employer
of 530 of the 6,000 employees of the Synopsys, a world leader in
electronic design automation (EDA).
They carry out 10% of the company's research work, with the company's
annual profit totaling US $1.6bn. Synopsys Armenia is Armenia's
number one IT employer, Dr. Chi- Foon Chan, President and Chief
Operating Officer, Synopsys Company, said at the ArmTech Congress
2011 in Yerevan.
Under more than 60 programs, the company is cooperating with more
than 1,000 universities throughout the world, with four of them being
Yerevan universities. Mr. Chi- Foon Chan said that a new Synopsys
Armenia training center is to be opened this week.
