ARP CONSIDERS ANC'S DEMAND OF RESIGNATION OF PRESIDENT UNACCEPTABLE

The Armenian National Congress's demand of the resignation of the
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is unacceptable. This issue will not
become a subject for discussion at the Republican Party of Armenia,
member of the party's parliamentary faction Mkrtich Minasyan told a
news conference today, adding that guided by the coalition memorandum
the ARP will confidently nominate candidacy of Serzh Sargsyan.

According to him, his party cannot negotiate over the issues that
stem from fantasies and ambitions of the ANC and have nothing to do
with the interests of the people and reality.

Among other inner-political issues, the parliamentarian referred
to the possibility of return of second president Robert Kocharyan
to big politics. In his opinion, there is no need of return as the
social-economic, political situation is not in such a state when
there is a necessity for a political figure to come and make radical
changes. "Robert Kocharyan is RA citizen and may return to the politics
if he wants but certain political forces create artificial noise over
    it", Minasyan noted.
