FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER TO VISIT TURKEY

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe will pay a visit to Turkey as a
guest of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Juppe's visit is of special importance after remarks made by French
President Nicolas Sarkozy over the incidents of 1915, Anadolu news
agency reported.
During a visit to the Armenian capital Yerevan, Sarkozy urged Ankara
to recognize the 1915 massacres of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire
as genocide.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Sarkozy of
electioneering.
The French foreign minister will arrive in Turkey on 26 October,
Anadolu said.
He is expected to discuss preparations for the G20 Summit which will
be held in Cannes on 2 and 3 November.
Juppe and Davutoglu are also expected to discuss the Arab Spring and
Middle East peace process.
Turkey's EU accession process and the Cyprus issue are other topics
on the agenda of the two foreign ministers.
