The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs are creating grounds for the protraction
of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, said the second
secretary of the Security Problems Department of Azerbaijani
Foreign Ministry Elchin Huseynli at the joint conference of GUAM
Parliamentary Assembly and Baltic Assembly on the Geopolitical
Stability in Caucasus. They are unable to fulfill their mission with
dignity and they do not contribute to the settlement process. This
    is impermissible.

Dwelling on Russia, he noted that at the last meeting between the
presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Armenia refused the agreements
reached many years ago, and the co-chairing countries did not pay
attention to this fact. According to the MFA official representative,
Azerbaijan can play a big role in the power supply to Europe. He says,
otherwise, Europe will depend on other countries. Everyone must learn
lessons. For example, the 2008 August events posed the region to a
    big danger.

Huseynli, dwelling on Armenian and Russian relations, noted that
they cause instability in the region. The smallest country of the
region has military-political agreements with Russia. He recalled that
since conflicts are not solved, no joint programs are possible in the
region. Azerbaijani MP, Elman Mamedov said the U.S. presents financial
assistance to Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, Russia supplies weapons to
Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, France considers Armenia its sister. Are
UN and NATO not enough to force the small Armenia? wonders Mamedov.
