WINNERS OF INTERNATIONAL MICROELECTRONICS OLYMPIAD OF ARMENIA AWARDED

The 19 out of the 50 participants have been recognized winners of the
6th annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia. The
winners were awarded today during the soiree and reception of
"Synopsis Armenia" company. The awards were given by "Synopsis" and
"Viva-Cell-MTS".
General Executive Director of "Synopsis Armenia" company and Deputy
Head of the company in marketing Rich Goldman noted that the progress
of the Olympiad shows the growing role of Armenia as a center of
microelectronics. "This year we welcomed 15 students and architects
arrived from 15 countries, who have come to Armenia to participate
in the Olympiad. It is high honor to work with talented architects
arrived from all over the world and give them an opportunity to get
acquainted with each other," he said.
Organization of the Olympiad has a goal to promote development of
microelectronics in Armenia and participant countries, to reveal and
encourage talented young cadres, raise interest in microelectronics
among young specialists, to specify the knowledge level of young
specialists of participant countries in this sphere and make relevant
specifications in educational programs, as well as to contribute
to formation of community of young specialists of the sphere of
microelectronics.
