DAVIT BABAYAN: BY CONSTRUCTING WALL AT THE BORDER, AZERBAIJAN SPECIFIES ITS BORDERS WITH ARTSAKH

An information appeared today in the Azerbaijani mass media, that the
Azerbaijani party has decided to construct a wall at the border of
Karabakh and Azerbaijan as if for defending the peaceful residents
from the Armenian snipers.
Press officer of NKR president's staff Davit Babayan commented on
this step of Azerbaijan with the request of Armenpress. "I think
this is also politicized in some regard. If by constructing that
wall Azerbaijan will not use it for concealing the snipers, it can
be acceptable somehow from the military viewpoint," Mr. Babayan said.
According to him, the construction of this wall in some regard
specifies the border of Artsakh and Azerbaijan. "Actually Azerbaijan
regulates its border with Artsakh. The most important is that the
structure is not used from the military viewpoint and for PR,"
Davit Babayan said. According to him, there is no problem if the
construction of that wall will promote establishment of peace and
stability. "Eventually, it is their territory, let them do whatever
they wish," Mr. Babayan said.
