THE ECHOES OF INDEPENDENCE IN THE USA AND CANADA

Within the festive events, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the
independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and the Republic of
Armenia, NKR Permanent Representative to the USA and Canada Robert
Avetisian visited the Armenian Club of Toronto, participated in the
festive event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of creating the club,
and made a greeting speech there.
In the Armenian Club, the NKR Permanent Representative met
with representatives and activists of the local body of the ARF
Dashnaktsutyun. At the meeting, issues related to the current
developments and situation in Artsakh and around it were discussed.
Robert Avetisian introduced the approaches and position of Artaskh
on some vital issues.
Then, Robert Avetisian and RA Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganian
participated in the festive event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of
the RA and NKR independence. About 800 representatives of over 20 local
Armenian organizations participated in this event. NKR representative
Robert Avetisian and RA Ambassador Armen Yeganian made speeches at
this party. In his speech, the leader of the diplomatic mission of
Artsakh told about the achievements of the NKR for the 20 years of
independence. He emphasized the importance and necessity of unity in
the issues related Artsakh.
NKR Permanent Representative Robert Avetisian and RA Ambassador Armen
Yeganian visited the schools of the local branches of the Armenian
General Benevolent Union and Armenian Relief Union, then met with the
local ecclesiastic leaders. Issues related to the current situation
and developments in the RA and Artsakh, as well as further development
program were discussed at the meeting.
The NKR Permanent Representative to the USA and Canada made a speech at
the event called "The Right of Nagorno Karabakh to Self-determination",
which was organized in the hall of the St. Vardan Church in San
Francisco by the West Coast Mission of the Armenian Assembly of America
and local St. Vardan Cultural Committee. AAA Executive Director Brayan
Ardouni and Deputy Director of The HALO Trust organization, realizing
mine clearing programs in Artsakh, Andrew Lyons made speeches at
the event. The AAA Executive Director introduced the organization's
activity on advocating the Armenian issues in the USA capital city
of Washington and the Deputy Director of The HALO Trust introduced
the organization's activity and the mine clearing programs realized
in Artsakh.

the history of Artsakh and the current developments, as well as the
20th anniversary of the independence of Artsakh and the achievements
