TURKISH GOVERNOR SLAMS OFFICIAL FOR VISITING ARMENIA

The governor of the Turkish town of Kars, Ahmet Kara, has reprimanded
Water Affairs Regional Director Hayati Celenk for visiting Armenia.
According to CNNTurk, the visit prevented the Turkish official from
attending a provincial coordination council meeting in Kars. Instead,
Celenk's deputy is said to have participated in the discussion.
The Kars governor reportedly flied into fury as he knew Celenk was
not attending the meeting because of being in Armenia.
"There are many questions to discuss," Kara said, reminding the
participant that the date of the session date had been announced a
month earlier.
"What has he lost in Armenia? Are there more important things left
there? Let him come and explain," he said.
