PanARMENIAN.Net - Maintaining status quo in Nagorno Karabakh conflict
may cause a new war in the region, according to the head of Social
and Political Department at Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration.
"International community makes every effort to prevent Azerbaijan
from renewal of war," he said. "However, Azerbaijani President has
repeatedly stated that Baku can lose all patience. Azerbaijan can
not wait for eternal maintenance of the status quo in the conflict.
Azerbaijan uses legal and other means to ensure territorial integrity,"
Ali Hasanov said.
As he noted, the international community, especially the OSCE Minsk
Group co-chairs, insistently call for changing current situation,
considering its preservation unacceptable.
"Azerbaijan is being prevented from using other means," he said.
"Azerbaijan is not a militarist country. It does not lay claims on
anybody's land," Trend News quoted him as saying.
