member of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI),
with Armenia becoming the member state of the network. Noyan Tapan
correspondent was informed by spokeswoman for NBE Lana Mshetsian that
thanks to its joining the network, NBE will expand the opportunities
of its cooperation with European forensic science institutes. It
will also exchange data and experience, participate in new research
projects, acquire new scientific and methodological guides, etc.
The Bureau has done serious work in the past four years to meet
the ENFSI requirements concerning its joining the network such as
capacities, the quality and quantity of functions, the introduced
quality system, etc. On August 30 ENFSI Chairman Pawel Rybiski
and Head of the Quality and Competence Committee Christina Bertler
visited the NBE to see how much the Armenians structure meets ENFSCI
requirements. During the closed-door discussions held at the end of the
visit, the representatives of ENFSI evaluated the results as positive,
but the final decision was made at the 15th meeting of ENFSI Council.
