The mother of temporary soldier Suren Kirakosyan today blamed the
representative of the apparatus of the Deputy Defense Minister,
Captain Vardan Ghukasyan for recruiting her ill son to the army.
"Your son is very healthy and must serve in the army," Vardan
Ghukasyan told the woman. In response, the soldier's mother demanded
that Ghukasyan present the results of her son's check-up.
"My son has askarit, hematoma in his head and uterus, as well as
erosions in his stomach. He is incapable of serving in the army. Why
aren't they letting me treat my child on my own? My son's health is
more precious to me," Suren Kirakosyan's mother, Zvart complained.
However, Vardan Ghukasyan accused Mrs. Zvart for "having her son
escape" from the army.
"We see soldiers being killed on a daily basis. What should I have
done? Should I have sent him there? He is incapable of serving," Mrs.
Zvart said.
We inform that Suren Kirakosyan, who is serving at the Sisyan military
unit in Syunik province, had come from military service and hadn't
returned due to illness, but he had been sentenced to prison in Shushi.
