In Sept 2012 the Armenian delegation will participate in a summit
of the International Police Association (IPA) in Israel, Head of
IPA Armenian Section, Colonel Grisha Sargsyan said at today's press
conference.
The relevant decision was taken after the visit of IPA Secretary
General Georgios Katsaropoulos to Armenia.
"The summit will cover the issue of the Armenian section's admission
to the IPA as its 64th full member", Sargsyan said proudly.
Asked what privileges the Armenian Police will have in case it
becomes a full member of the IPA, Sargsyan replied: "Membership in
the IPA will be a great honor for us and will by all means contribute
to establishment and improvement of relations between the Armenian
Police and the other members of this influential organization".
To recall, the Armenian delegation attended the 20-25 Sept 2011 IPA
summit in Budapest as an observer.
