CONSCRIPT DETAINED OVER 'SUICIDE' CASE

A conscript from a military unit of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)
has been detained over the death of a fellow serviceman reported
dead earlier.
According to a press release by the NKR Defense Army, the serviceman
is suspected of committing crimes prescribed by Section 1, Article
359 of Armenia's Criminal Code (Breach of relations, prescribed by
field manuals, between not subordinated servicemen).
The Defense Army reported earlier that Yurik Nersisyan, 19, killed
himself by the gun registered in his name during military service in
front line outpost.
Initial allegations suggested that the soldier had been mocked by
fellow servicemen has as he was found urinating in a trench. He
reportedly had not responded to their derogatory remarks, but not
withstanding their treatment committed suicide half an hour later.
