REPRESENTATIVES OF SO-CALLED "NKR" RESPOND TO AZERBAIJAN'S PROPOSAL TO HOLD MEETING BETWEEN AZERBAIJANI AND ARMENIAN COMMUNITIES OF NAGORNO KARABAKH

Baku - APA. Representatives of the separatist regime in the Azerbaijani
territories occupied by the Armenian armed forces responded to the
proposal to hold a meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian
communities of Nagorno Karabakh.
This proposal was made by the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE
Parliamentary Assembly. Head of the delegation Bahar Muradova said
this meeting would be necessary for confidence-building between the
sides and it could be held in Baku because Armenians living in Nagorno
Karabakh are the citizens of Azerbaijan.
Chief of the so-called "information office of the presidential
administration" of the unrecognized "Nagorno Karabakh Republic" David
Babayan said that this proposal could not be accepted. "There are no
such notions like Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno
Karabakh. There is Nagorno Karabakh Republic and if Baku wants to
solve Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict, it should address Stepanakert for
holding bilateral meetings. First meeting can be held in Baku, next
in Stepanakert or other places. But it should be a meeting between
the representatives of two official sides - Artsakh and Azerbaijan",
Babayan said.
