NICOLAS SARKOZY: FRANCE CONSIDERS ARMENIA ITS FRIEND AND SISTER

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS: French President Nicolas Sarkozy has
addressed a letter to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. Presidential
press service told Armenpress that in the letter Nicolas Sarkozy
expresses gratitude to Serzh Sargsyan for exclusive reception given
during his state visit to Armenia.
The French President points out the deep excitement he felt at the
Genocide Memorial Complex, which has still remained in his heart. "Be
sure, France will not stop its commitment as long as those pogroms
have not been properly recognized by the inheritors of those who
committed," the letter reads.
In the letter the French President assures that France will also assist
us confronting the challenges our country faces, and first of all,
in NK conflict settlement through negotiations.
"Now we should assess the prospects indicated during our meetings
for implementation of programs, which will promote enhancement of
the friendship between our countries," the letter reads.
Wrapping up the letter President Sarkozy wished a peaceful and
prosperous future to Armenia.
