YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, ARMENPRESS: Armenia is country of unique wealth,
and mental property occupies a special place in that wealth, rector
of the French University in Armenia Joelle Le Morzellec said at
"Experience of EU in the sphere of mental property and its localization
in Armenia" conference.
"Armenia has a unique biodiversity. There are plants here, which
are not possible to find in other places, and by which herbs are
possible to prepare. Armenia may gain copyright to them, which will
promote entrance of huge monetary means to RA government and relevant
scientific-research institutes," she said, adding that our country
has a scientific potential and can develop it.
According to Joelle Le Morzellec, for Armenia enters the
Eurointegration path, it must adopt laws, which will be in accordance
with the legislation of the European Union. She said that our country
has some tasks to fulfill in the sphere of falsification of literary
works and products of industrial sphere. EU expert Nicolas Bush said
that the elaboration of such norms is of importance, which on one hand
will defend the mental property and will not impede free competition
on the other hand.
