INTERNATIONAL MINISTERIAL TOURISM CONFERENCE TO BE HOSTED IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN
The 2012 international ministerial conference on tourism will be
conducted in Armenia in fall. The agreement has been reached October
8-14 this year in Korea at the 19th sitting of the General Assembly
of the UN World Tourism Organization.
Deputy economy minister Ara Petrosyan told today that the Armenia will
come forth at the ministerial conference as an organizer country,
an international platform for the conduction of ministerial summit
as a result of which a Yerevan Declaration on tourism will be adopted.
The minister convinced that as a result Yerevan will enter a history
from the point of view of discussion of global issues of tourism.
Petrosyan said with its infrastructures Armenia is ready to conduct
such international events. Armenia has become member of the UN World
Tourism Organization since 1997.
The goal of the organization is to assist developed and developing
countries from the point of view of registering stable growth in the
sphere of tourism.
