Armenian Apostolic Church to celebrate Discovery of the Holy Cross

YEREVAN. - The Armenian Apostolic Church on Sunday will mark the
Discovery of the Holy Cross (commemorating the finding of the True
Cross) and a Holy Mass will be celebrated on that occasion, pastor of
the Armenian capital Yerevan's Nubarashen community, Fr. Nikoghos
Hovhannisyan stated during a press conference on Saturday.
He informed that the Church also celebrates the Feast of the Twelve
Apostles, whose doctrine coincides with that of the Armenian Apostolic
Church, and therefore the latter accepts the Apostles and their
commemoration day.
Some remains of the True Cross are kept at the Holy See of St.
Etchmiadzin, spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
