Different states have expressed their willingness to help Turkey
in this hard time, but, for some reasons, official Ankara has only
accepted humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

The Turkey-based Hurriyet newspaper inqired into the reasons.

Israel, the United States, Greece, and Poland offered their aid
to Turkey. Even Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, which has no
diplomatic relations with Turkey, addressed a telegram to President
Abdullah Gul and offered Armenia's help, the newspaper writes. The
newspaper points out that the Turkish foreign office thanked all the
sides. On the other hand, it states that Turkey does not need aid now.

However, despite this all, Turkey has accepted aid from Azerbaijan
and Pakistan. The newspaper tried to get explanations from the Turkish
foreign office. The explanation was as follows: Azerbaijan and Pakistan
sent aid without inquiring, so the Turkish side could not decline it.
