WEBAPRICOT PAN-ARMENIAN FILM FESTIVAL TO KICK OFF ON NOVEMBER 15

The "Golden Apricot" International Film Festival and the Webtv.am
are launching the WebApricot Pan-Armenian Film Festival. The films
presented at the festival will be aired on Webtv.am, the two winners
will be chosen through Internet voting.
There will be no jury; therefore, there will be no bias, Founding
Director of the Golden Apricot Film Festival Harutyun Khachatryan
told a press conference today.
All Armenian film directors from Armenia and foreign countries can
participate in the on-line festival. There are no genre restrictions.
The length of the films presented should not exceed 20 minutes.
According to Arayik Manukyan, Director of the Webtv.am Internet
television, the festival will kick off on November 15 and will continue
through December 25.
Harutyun Khachatryan said the festival will be held every three
months, adding that he does not have particular expectations from
the first one.
Thus, the films in DVD format should be submitted to the Office of
the Golden Apricot Film Festival by November 15. The winner will
be chosen through Internet voting. The results will be publicizes
on December 25. The winner will get a prize of $1 000. Another $500
incentive prize is also envisaged.
