YEREVAN. - Yerevan and Paris Mayors Karen Karapetyan and Bertrand
Delanoë signed agreement of friendship and cooperation at the end of
the meeting in Yerevan city hall.
Bertrand Delanoë stated that meetings in Yerevan are run in a
friendly atmosphere, especially when it includes other participants
of Francophone 31st session, city hall press service informs Armenian
News-NEWS.am.
"Besides our high-level cooperation on culture, we intend to make
serious economic projects. We will improve economic management of
the city system by the experience exchange on various spheres,"
Paris Mayor said.
Yerevan Mayor said that both Armenian-French relations and the
relations between the two capital cities are on high-level.
"The agreement signed gives a new quality to our cooperation. I
believe that our friendly relations will even be strengthened after
the meeting," Karapetyan said and added that such cooperation may
serve as an example of cooperation between other Francophone states.

Mayors of Yerevan and Paris discuss questions of bilateral cooperation
YEREVAN. - Armenia's capital may become a platform for development
of business, which will stimulate cooperation between Yerevan and
Paris and also form a new business culture, Yerevan city Mayor Karen
Karapetyan told during the meeting with Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe,
who is currently in Armenia.
The mayors discussed a variety of questions concerning the cooperation
of the two capitals. Karen Karapetyan thanked Bertrand Delanoe for
organizing the mayor meeting of Francophonie in Yerevan.
The mayor of Paris thanked for very friendly reception.
"All this inspires us to make efforts in expanding our relations. It
is desirable that the mutual visits were more frequent. I am glad to
be working with you," Bertrand Delanoe said.
He offered to organize a presentation of investment programs in the
city hall of Paris in order to present a whole investment packet to
the business society of Paris.
